Interfering factors in the oxidation of biodiesel and their mixtures

Resumo


Atualmente, o biodiesel é apresentado como o principal substituto do combustível diesel derivado de hidrocarbonetos por ser um combustível similar ao diesel e menos danoso ao meio ambiente. No entanto, sua maior susceptibilidade aos processos oxidativos tem sido considerada um dos principais desafios a logística do biodiesel. Neste contexto, o presente trabalho estudou alguns fatores interferentes no processo de oxidação do biodiesel. Uma vez que a baixa estabilidade a processos oxidativos especialmente durante armazenamento prolongado é um dos principais problemas relacionados com a produção, distribuição e consequentemente com a representatividade do biodiesel no cenário energético brasileiro e mundial.
